Altered Purse and Mini #1

Hope everyone had a great weekend I'm trying to find time to be crafty but the time I get my boys to bed I'm just so tired to do anything.  I do have a few projects on the go so hopefully I will finish them soon.  Today I am sharing a couple of altered purses I made for my sister and sister-in-law for christmas. I am going to do two separate posts. The first one is the one I made my sister.

The paper collection I used was from Graphic45 the Once Upon a Springtime Collection.  The flowers are Prima and Recollections. I made this stickpin and the ribbon is from Wal-mart.  I used a Tim Holtz book plate and put pearls on the sides of it.  The sentiment on the front is a stampin' up stamp.

The inside of the box I upholstered the top and painted the bottom. The mini is about inspiring women in history. I used Prima and Recollection flowers, Melissa Frances trim and Recollection bling.

Boy Birthday Cards

My son went to a birthday party for a 6 year old and 12 year old. It was a combined party at Chucky Cheese.  I made two cards but I find making boy/ masculine cards are hard. Here's the first one I made for the 12 year old:

This was a fast card to make I used designer scrapbook pad from We R Memory Keepers MVP collection.  The stamp I used was called Extreme Skateboard from Stampin' Up.  I stamped it in Rusty Hinge distress ink. I thought it needed something else so I added the brads from stampin' up and twine.
It's a simple card but I think it turned out.

The inside I just used more designer paper and the sentiment is from stampin' up's Sincere Salutations.

Here's the card I made for the 6 year old. This was a fun card to make.

I was inspired by a video I saw on you tube, I will put her video below.  She used stampin' up punches but I didn't have any of them. So I used a cricut cartridge Accent Essentials. The clouds I sponged using Tumbled Glass distress ink.

Gatefold Mini Flora and Fauna

It took me awhile to finish this mini it kept getting bigger and bigger. LOL!!! I have never made a gatefold mini before. I found once I was done I couldn't close it. I'm still learning the best way to bind mini albums.  I got a bind it all for christmas I just need to learn to use it now.  I have posted this album on you tube I will try and link it below. Here are some pictures of the mini.

The paper I used is the K and Company Flora and Fauna paper collection. The frame, flowers and the family stamp are all from Michaels.  The die cut I used is from Stampin' up's new lables die.  The butterfly is from the collection.  I made my first charm, YEAH!!! I used a prima birdcage and bird. A Tim Holtz key that says Life. And a little clock and heart from my stash.

Using the designer paper I made a corner pocket. I made two tags using my Sentimentals cricut cartridge.  The lace trim is from Stampin' up and the butterfly is from the collection. The flower on top of the tags were white recollections flowers. And I glimmer misted it with Latte (I love this colour).

I used a 12 * 12 and scored it to make this. For the journaling I used the camera stamp from Technique Tuesday called Life in Pictures.  And the eggs are from 7gypsies Conservatory stamp set.

Here's a picture of how I made it into a gatefold, there's four parts to it.  The two middle sections I used a coin envelope and destressed all the pages using walnut stain from Tim Holtz.

This page I used my spellbinders die and made it into a little book. I made a stick pin and put it behind a recollections flower.  The trim and lace are from an antique store.  The key and heart are Prima.

Here's a picture of my Husband Scott and I on our wedding day. With our two boys Bradley and Matthew.  I used the Tim Holtz birdcage die and painted it and used a crackle medium.  The charm on top is from my stash. The flower is from Michaels and the pearls are Prima.

Get Well Soon Card

This past Saturday I had an afternoon of crafting with friends. We rented a room at the local library and I was able to start my Fall mini album. I can't wait to finish it!!! I have so many cute pictures of my boys to put in it.

Last week my mother-in-law had to have surgery, she's ok but I made her this get well card.

This card is 5 1/2 * 5 1/2 and the base of the card is whisper white from stampin' up. The patterned paper is from my stash. I used my Lacey Circle spellbinder die and stamped the bird from stampin' up's Friends 24-7. The small flower is stampin' up's adornments vintage flowers. The lace is from michaels and ribbon is stampin' up's new pleated satin ribbon.  LOVE this ribbon!!! I used a recollections flower and lastly I used three stampin' up brads.

I left inside pretty simple I used a stampin' up punch and get well soon stamp.

Thanks for looking!!!

Close To My Heart Layout #1

Hope everyone is having a good week I'm hoping I get my van back today.  I have rental right now I was in a fender bender a couple of weeks ago.

This past weekend I was invited to a close to my heart club meeting to see what it is all about.  I had a lot of fun. Here is the layout we made:

We made 2 co-ordinating 12 x 12 page layouts. The snowflakes are used with a cricut cartridge and then stamped with a snowflake stamp. Not sure of its name or what ink colour we used.  Sorry.

On the snowflakes I believe we used stardust Glitz Glitter Gel and bling.

We stamped around both pages. On the words Snow Days we used Liquid Applique and used the heat gun to puff it up like snow. It really made a cool affect. We then put glitter on top, love how this turned out.

Thanks for looking, have a great day.

Valentine's Day Canvas

I love how this altered canvas turned out. It was an easy and quick project to do. I found the canvas and easle at the dollar store and thought it was so cute.  Here are some pictures:

 Before

 After

I used K and Campany designer paper Kelly Panacci collection. I destressed the edges, used Melissa Frances lace trim.

The heart charm is from Michaels, the pink flowers are from the wedding section at Michaels and I used a Recollections mulberry paper flower.

The heart is a Martha Stewart punch and I painted the edges of the canvas. I used Engine Red Folk Art paint, Crackle Medium and Craft Smart White paint.

I painted the easel white and used a prima flower on the top to cover the hardware. On the bottom I glimmer misted the Tim Holtz rose trim with Latte.

Thanks for looking have a great night.
